Josh Gracin

Mohegan Sun

I went to Mohegan Sun with Jaime and my dad to see Josh Gracin.

We left a little after 4, and we got there and my dad's all "No one's in line" and we're like this is crazy.  Turn the corner, ohhh there's only 200 people in line.  They moved the line.  The place only holds 150 people so we waited a bit and then were like,  you know what? there's no way we're making it inside, let's get a place outside so we can look in.  And we did.

We're wandering around first, and this guy goes "You ladies 21?" (he worked there) and we go "Yeah!" and reach for our purses to get IDs and he goes "Its ok, I believe you" and we keep going.  We went to the arcade so I could get a penny.... then we saw this huge ass fish tank and went and checked that out and then we went back and stood near the edge.  I decided like.. no one was on the other side so we went over there.

My dad found us again, and we were sitting on the floor so we could hold our spot but not be standing the whole time.  This guy comes over and is all "Can I see your IDs?" so Jaime and I get them and he had to LOOK AT HIS WATCH to see if July 19th had passed already.  Hey buddy! It's August!  So we found it funny that we didn't get carded wandering around, but did when we were just sitting there.

So 8pm the show starts, Josh comes out and yay.  One song he ended up.. like behind us it was awesome he was alllll over the place.  The guards like.. had no idea either because they looked like they were going nuts trying to keep up with him, but the crowd was calm.  They didnt even really scream until he was going to give out a drumstick or a tshirt or something  Which was kind of sad.. but whatever.

So then they set up after the show for signing, but only for the people inside.  So my dad went off to gamble more and I said I was hanging til the end, because I was determined to get my CD signed.  I was like "if I wait and call him over when he's done, what will he do? say no?"  So my dad was like "well you can try it"  So an hour or so later, the auto line is done, Josh stands up.  I yell "JOSH! Can you sign this for me?" He kind of looks at me like "sign what?" and I hold up my CD and he nods and comes over to the rail and signs it so Im all "thanks!" and leave and he has like 10 other people to deal with HAHA.  He hung around there for a bit though.  They wouldn't even let one lady buy a tshirt and he was like "They wont let you buy a shirt? HEY BEN CMERE!" and called the Merch guy over so she could get one.

I didn't bring my camera, and really the lighting sucks so nothing would have come out... but I could have had a shot of me with him.  Oh well.  My shoulder is already hurting from a purse with NO camera.. it would have been about ready to fall off if I did have it on.

I'll decode the set list later tomorrow and scan my penny and my autograph and all that fun stuff.  The only bad thing is.. no tickets :(  So my page will be hella boring!  No ticket, no pictures! Oh boy.  I'll have to find a flier or someone online who happened to take pics.
