I was in section 214, row 4, seat 12 (we hadseats 10-13 I wanted 13 though!) We were on Taylors side, so we were looking at his butt the whole time! (For some people it may not be an issue, I'd rather be looking at Zac's butt the whole time, but oh well!) At one point his microphone box was bouncing, so we were watching it in the binocualrs, it was funny! (guess you had to be there)
How I got tickets:
I was in New Jersey, I got home and my best friend Candice called me to say that tickets went on sale, I was really bummed and I was positive they would be sold out, but both her and my mom said, oh just call! and so I did and we got 4 tickets! I think we had pretty good seats, considering we could be in 213, looking at the speakers rather then Tays' butt. (I guess his butts better then speakers) Anywayz we got the ticket, we though they would be 27.50, but once ticketmaster charged all these fees on us it ended up costing 35.00 a ticket! (as much as a shirt) I had to pay for mine and half of my moms (UGH!)
OK my mom and I waited until candice and her mom to come and when they did we did a bathroom break, loaded in the van and we were on our way, we listened to Ringo Starr and then boomerang. We got off a couple wrong exits, but were finally in front of the Civic Center, we watched everyone go by, there was this restaurant there and there was a hanson sign girls made in the window, so we put ours in the window and they started pointing and jumping and stuff. We also so lots of girls walking by with hanson shirts, everytime one walked by i was like "hanson" and then candice said "the girls with the thing around their neck, if it has the picture does that mean they go backstage?" And I said "NO! Mine has a pic too, i just took it off, see?" Then I took mine out and put it around me neck!
Then we got to the parking lot, after 10 or so minutes. we parked in a handicap spot and then we went in, we were 1 floor up so I was like, "we gotta get down there!" and we did and bought our stuff, I got 2 programs (1 for a friend and one for a girl in norway, i have one already) a sticker set (for a trade), a calendar, tshirt and 3 pins (the 4th was sold out i guess) and Candice got a shirt, poster, program and calendar, then we went to the car to put the stuff in (but i put the shirt, stickers and pins in my mini backpack with everything else) and came back out, all this time we were carrying our signs around, mine said "Drummers Rule, I love Zac" and "Ike call me, Tay shake my hand and Zac kiss me" candices said "Taylor you're all I'm living for" and "Positivly Hanson's All That" (ya know, to P_H_A_T) and so we were walking around forever, because we got there at 3 and the concert wasn't until 6, so they wouldn't let us in til 5:30. There were these girls that were singing hanson and it was buggin me, I was ready to go over and say "who sings that song" and when they said Hanson I would say "lets keep it that way" but i didnn't.
So then we heard warm ups so everyone screamed, we didn't know it it was AT or hanson though. All the mothers and some of the girls kept looking at our signs and smiling, i really don't know why though, it was really strange! So then we went to sit on a bench becasue i got tired of standing and there was this girl with a sign that said "Zak, Ike and Tay" and another said "I love Zack!!" and there were also ones spelled ZACH, but i know for a fact it is ZAC And so finally they let us in, so we found our seats an sat down, we had good sets and I took a picture of the stage before hanson or AT was on it. So we're sitting there and my mom wanted to get a drink, but i conned her out of it, becaue I knew I would want to drink it, and there was no way I was going to have to go pee! (I had to go at that time, again, but i told myself I would hold it in!)
They were playing ALOT of Aerosmith, so I assume hanson picked out what to play. Next thing we knew there were these 2 girls jumping over our row, then they jumped back and then they started screaming. "whats their problem?" My mom asked me."they got backstage passes" i said, and then this happened.
My mom looked around and there was this guy talking to the 2 girls at the end of our row, but they didn't know what MOE was So i took my card out and gave it to Candice, who held it up and said "you mean this?" and he said Yeah and handed her a pass and I yelled "but its my card!" and he said whoevers card it is gets it , so i said it was mine, he handed me a pass and my card, then Candices mom jumped up and goes "She has one too wait!" and pulled her card out, and then she got passes too! (Its a sticker thats orange and had the tour logo on it and VIP written on the bottom, in marker it had MG MOE and 52 on it)
We had to sit in section 213, Candices mom went over to see what we would be doing, so she talked to the guy who gave us the passes. We were talking to this one girl who was the one who jumped over our row, I just kept saying oh my god, oh my god. and then we went down by the stage and then we saw Walker he came out to say hi and see how many of us there were. The girl who jumped over the row (i know now her name is Christine, I found her online!) was talking to Walker, he had a brace or something on his wrist so she asked him about it, but i was saying to candice "Is that Walker?" and she was like "i dunno, i think so!"
Then we went behind a blue curtain and we were like 2 feet away from Admiral Twin, who were about to go on. Only the MOE members got autographs and pictures taken to be in MOE! I had them sign my MON cd, so anywayz I looked on the wall and it said "Hanson Meet and Greet" and there was a blue dot, a big dot. So I walked in, peeked in and there was Taylor surrounded by girls for the picture, and i was like oh my god (yes i said it AGAIN!) so they broke apart and I went right to Ike (Candice has a different story, obviously) and said "Hey Ike, I'm going to stand near you for the picture" and he said "Okay, cool, nice to meet you" and shook my hand. So we took the picture, and I'm right in front of Ike. Then we went over to see taylor and we shook his hands and everything but the whole time i was looking over his shoulder. and I was like "wheres Zac?" so I went over and shook Zacs hand and he like was trying to figure out which hand to shake with, he was putting out his right then left, then right (you get the picture) and finally he shook my left hand. (which oddly smelled like playdough after he did) and so i was like WOW and then they were going to sign autographs cuz we kept bugging them (not just me, the other 11 of us that were there) and so Walker said to me "do you have a pen Zac can use?" so I was like "Yeah" and I gave it to Zac, so he bent down a little to sign my middle of nowhere cd and his hair brushed my face so i turned to candice and said "oh my god hes right here" and he turns to me and goes "Naw! i thought i was over there" and smiles and I said "ya know youre really annoying" and he looked at me like I had 3 heads, and I was like, oh no what did I say? so i added "but i love you anywayz" and he smiled at me.(he may have seen the i love zac necklace i had on)
Then we went to Tay (I think we did this before Zac, but i don't remember!!) and Candice said "so what are you guys doing at the VMAs?" and Tay gave her a look so she said "the video music awards" and he goes "oh we were just going to present something" and I was about to say, thats cuz MTV hates you, but i held it in. I didn't want tay hanson mad at me! Then he turned around and I saw his rattail and I went "the tail" and he turned around! and Candice said Tay this is for you and handed him a one legged soldier, "thats really clever, really creative" he told her. so then Zac passed my cd to Ike who signed it and Candice had a picture she handed to tay "can you date it?" she asked him "I don't even know the date!" he said "it's the 30th" she said and he signed it and Ike passed my cd to Tay, who signed it and then gave it back to Ike, Ike held it up "whos is this??" I said "It's mine, thanks" and he handed it to me. Then we were ready to go, but Zac had my sharpie and walker said "nice to meet you girls, but you have to go now" and I was like "Zac can I have my pen?" and he handed me the pen, and when i wetn to grab it he pulled it back, then he handed MOE to me (it was another girls) and I go "no the pen" and he started moving it as i tried to grab it. finally i got it, then as we left Candice said "I want to wish you a happy birthday cuz we wont see you" and he just looked at her like she had 3 heads now too! (he kinda was following us to the door) when we left AT was already in the middle of singing.
It was dark, we went up 2 stairways and i went "where are our seats?" and then I saw Candice's mom waving "We have to go up one more" I said, So we found our seat and showed our moms our autographs, then AT left so all the people around wanted to hear our story, and we told it, Taylor really didn't know the date though he put '9-30-98 HANSON' LOL it was 8-30-98. Well Going back stage was really cool!
We had been gone for 5 minutes, and it was dark because AT had came on, but we found our way to our seats and tryed to tell our moms about it, but it was LOUD! So we waited through AT, and we were way more anxious then ever, becasue we wanted to see what hanson had to offer! So we waited and finally they left, they were pretty good though, and I may get there cd, not sure though. So it was like 30 minutes until hanson came on, but we had our own little audience listneing to our backstage stories. So finally Hanson came on (We could see them come on stage so it wasn't too much of a surprise cuz of were our seats were, so everyone was like screaming before they came out, cept for us!) they started playing Gimme Some Lovin' Combined with shake your Tailfeather. Here are the songs in almost order, with notes if necisarry, Thinking of You, Where's the Love, River, Weird, Stories, then they changed the set to a 3 car garage, Ike was on this "comfy" chair, Tay sat at the keyboards and Zac had a smaller drum set. They Played Soldier, With You in Your Dreams, Madeline and then Ike soloed on More Than Anything, if it got quiet enough I was going to yell I love you Ike, but it didn't get quiet! Candice and I gave him a standing ovation, but no one else did! :(
Then they played Speechless, and introuduced the backup to another song, Tay played the drums wile Zac squirted the audience. Then they played Every Lonely, Minute Without You (dedicated to the Way top and Way back, which was me!) I will Come To You, Good Lovin and MMMBOP (which was dedicated to the MOE members who went backstage, we screamed like crazy!) then they left and we heard Zac say "Do you really want us back?" and we all screamed "Han-Son, Han-Son" and they played Man From Milwaukee, Look At You and Summertime Blues, during Summertime blues Tay went to have the audience sing "well there ain't no cure for the summertime blues" Ike played the keyboard (again, lol) Then they left and we left and we were in the car listening to Aaron Carter, (I taped boomerang and on the extra part i put Aaron and Armageddon) and we each told our backstage story to our moms, each saying things about the other we didn't know we did! It was the coolest thing in the world!
